A case study - Supporting Malmesbury Town Team.
The development of a new supermarket on the edge of town was likely to impact the trading performance of many of the retailers. We assisted in the creation of a strategic action plan based on the findings from an extensive survey, including feedback from visitors to the town, local traders and key stakeholders.
- 5 key priority areas were identified with marketing and promotions at the heart of the activities.
- A co ordinated approach to the newly formed brand identity, website and reinstatement of a farmers market helped improve footfall.
- The Retailer Group continues to support the Town Team as it moves into the next phase of its development, which includes some exciting initiatives, such as a digital tour of the historic town.
- The launch of the Malmesbury gift card, helping to further boost the local economy, is planned for 2019, alongside a local information centre refresh and graphic enhancements.
